Our four main yarn bases are named in honour of the changes we witness and cherish on the farm.
Cultivate Yarn – A simple fingering yarn ready to grow & thrive. 1 ply - 430 yards - 110g (24 sts = 4″ (10cm) on 3mm needles)
Growth Yarn – A DK yarn perfect anything that comes it’s way. 2 ply - 270 yards - 110g (20 sts = 4″ (10cm) on 4.5mm needles)
Harvest Yarn – A thick worsted yarn ready to work. 3ply - 180 yards - 110g (16 sts = 4″ (10cm) on 5mm needles)
Flock Yarn – A bulky yarn, joined together to stand strong. 4ply - 85 yards - 110g
Wool grown on our family farm, milled into yarn at a Canadian mill and naturally dyed! Our yarn is minimally processed without the use of any harsh chemicals leaving desirable natural characteristics behind. You will notice a pleasing toothy feel with touches of lanolin. Our medium-weight yarn is ideal for any cozy project that comes to mind! Our Dorset and crossbreed farm yarn produces lofty and durable wool yarn yet soft enough to be next to the skin. Garments hold their shape and will last for generations while being easy to care for.

This yarn is beautifully plump and squishy. I am planning to knit a sweater in half fisherman’s rib and I think it’s going to really make the texture stand out. The natural colour of the wool blend is a lovely creamy colour and the yarn feels next to skin soft to me. Looking forward to casting on! Shipping was very fast and I love using wool grown right where I live!
