Come Say Hello - Why We Love Doing Markets

Coming to a market near you!

You may have seen us as a vendor at your local maker markets already this summer and fall, but this week we’re getting ready for when the country comes to the city - at the Royal Winter Fair. 

Growing up, I knew many people going to the Royal to showcase their livestock and compete against their peers, but I never knew that one day I would end up at the show for the entire 10 days at the market. Life is always full of surprises!

To many small businesses, markets have the sole purpose of being a pop-up shop - another avenue to sell their product. But to us, being a vendor fulfills an entirely different role to make our small business successful. (P.S. Read to the end to see some sneak peaks of what we’re packing this year!) 

• Telling our story: We are proud to be farmers, caring for our animals, and what we’ve built in Revolution Wool Company. Sharing our story, and our products, at markets and maker events allow us to speak about our farm and business, and tell people about our unique journey and about the adventures that brought our products to fruition.
  
  
• Connecting with customers: We love getting to meet you! Seeing the faces that support our small business - our family - brings everything we do full circle. We know many people don’t get the chance to see the full cycle of where their products come from; we love answering questions about our farm, our sheep, and the benefits of wool. We want our customers to fully trust in the 100% Canadian wool products that we offer. A bonus is getting to see repeat customers and familiar faces, and hearing any feedback they have to share.

• Product insights: Getting to see people experience our product first hand is the best way we can make our product offering better. We get to see what products people are most interested in, which lets us know what our product focus should be. We also get to talk to people and hear about how they’re using woo in their life today, and learn about what wool products they’d like to see. This helps us serve you better!

All this to say, we cannot wait to get to Toronto in a couple of weeks for the Royal Winter Fair. We’ll be in Hall B booth 5224; be sure to come say hello! We can’t wait to see you! 

The Royal Winter Fair runs from Friday November 1st to Sunday, November 10th, 2024 at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
