Wool’s natural properties help regulate temperature and wick away moisture, making it an ideal choice for a cozy, long-lasting pillow filling.


How to Use Our Filling Wool

Our loose wool fibre is a natural, versatile way to refresh pillows and bring handmade projects to life. It’s perfect as stuffing for pillows, as it can revive pillows that have flattened over time due to use. Simply open the inner case, pull apart and fluff the existing wool, then add fresh filling wool until you reach your preferred fullness. Gently distribute the wool throughout for an even, comfortable feel. Make sure to follow our Care Guide for tips on how to clean any existing wool that is already in your pillowing filling.

Beyond pillows, loose wool makes a beautiful natural stuffing for stuffed animals, pet beds, draft stoppers, ornaments, pincushions and other sewing or craft projects. Simply pull apart and fluff the wool as you work, using more or less to create the softness and structure your project needs.


All-Natural Wool Fibre Filling from Our Farm

Because this wool is washed but not carded, it retains its natural texture and may contain small bits of straw or organic matter from the sheep. These pieces easily fall out or can be sorted as you work with the wool, ensuring an authentic and natural fill experience.

Care Guide

Caring for your wool fibre (when used as a pillow filling) is easy. Please ensure you follow these instructions as carefully as possible, it is important to use only cold water, be gentle, and never agitate wool. This will cause the wool to felt and become clumpy.

Regular Filling Wool Maintenance


Recommended every 1-3 months. 

  1. Remove the wool filling from your pillow, unfold, and air out in the sunshine (outside or indoors). 
    Tip: Some natural oils from the sheep remain in the wool after processing, you may notice a gentle scent. We love adding a few drops of essential oils (our favourite is lavender) for added freshness. 
  2. Wool pillows naturally compress 20-30%, for the original loft fluff the wool or remove some filling to suit your unique needs. Before folding and placing back in the pillow.
