A wool filled pillow is the answer to your best night’s sleep!

Our pillows are filled with pure wool batting to offer ideal support for your head and neck, adjustable density and texture to feel comforted, and of course the benefits of a 100% natural product locally grown and milled.

With the positive benefits of wool these pillows are sure to improve your sleep:

  • Wool regulates temperature to keep you comfortable whether you sleep hot or cold.
  • Wool holds moisture away from your body so if you sweat as you sleep you will stay more comfortable.
  • The wool batting is dense and holds its shape giving you the ideal support so you won't wake up needing to adjust your pillow.
  • Wool’s natural scientifically proven comfort factors help support and ease sore muscles and joints, including arthritis.
  • Wool is hypoallergenic and has natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties ensuring a cleaner and allergen free pillow.

Additional benefits of our wool filled pillows:

  • Pure cotton zippered pillow cases allow for easy care and for the wool to breathe.
  • Available in low loft for back sleepers and medium loft for side sleepers.
  • Our wool pillows are adjustable! You will notice your pillow will compress approximately 20-30% in the first weeks of use. If you still find the loft too much you can simply unroll the wool and remove a bit and refold back into the pillow case.
  • Top-ups are available for added firmness and include 1 26" x 45" piece of wool (approx. 8 to 10 oz).

Not only will our wool pillows improve your family's quality of sleep, but when you buy a Revolution Wool Company product you support Canadian farmers and our local economy.

Care Guide

Caring for your wool pillow is easy. Please ensure you follow these instructions as carefully as possible, it is important to use only cold water, be gentle, and never agitate wool. This will cause the wool to felt and become clumpy.

Regular maintenance
Recommended every 1-3 months.

  1. Remove the wool filling, unfold, and air out in the sunshine (outside or indoors).
Tip: Some natural oils from the sheep remain in the wool after processing, you may notice a gentle scent. We love adding a few drops of essential oils (our favourite is lavender) for added freshness.
  2. Wash cotton casing with regular laundry
  3. Wool pillows naturally compress 20-30%, for the original loft fluff the wool or remove some filling to suit your unique needs. Before folding and placing back in the cotton casing.

Deep cleaning
Recommended only for spills or when your pillow is very dirty.

Tip: Adding one or more pillowcases helps keep the cotton casing and wool filling clean.

  1. Keep wool filling inside the cotton casing
  2. Fill a large sink or bathtub with lukewarm water and add a small amount of Eucalan detergent (available here). It is important to use wool-specific detergent when washing wool for a proper clean and condition.
  3. Gently press your pillow to submerge and allow to soak for 15 minutes.
  4. Repeat a gentle pressing and squishing motion up and down in the water. Ensure you never agitate wool, this will cause the wool to felt and become clumpy!
  5. Rinse with lukewarm water and repeat the same gentile squishing motion until water runs clear.
  6. Squeeze out as much water as possible, use a towel to remove any excess.
  7. Remove the filling, unfold, hang to air dry, and machine dry cotton casing with regular laundry.

Soaking and rinsing steps 3-5 in a top load washing machine

  • Keep wool filling inside the cotton casing
  • Set machine to use cold water
  • Add a small amount of Eucalan detergent (available here)
  • Allow the pillow to go through the soak and spin cycle
  • Follow steps 6-7 above.

Wool pillows

I bought a set of pillows for my husband and I. He's very picky with pillows and loves it! He's very happy with the medium filled one.

Awesome!!

The best pillows you can ever sleep on. They really are cool if your a hot sleeper at night. Best pillows I ever owned for years until I forgot they were wool and washed them. Now I need new ones cause nothing compares to them.

A Viable Pillow Option

Pillows...is there a perfect pillow in all aspects...I haven't found one yet but this wool filled pillow is a good option.

I feel the option of wool is higher on the list than most as there was no immediate concerns right from the first night and I was pleasantly aware that I woke with none of my usual midback complaints.

Personally, I found this wool pillow option better than polyfibre fill for consistent medium to firm support. It is not as "hard" as those sold memory foam pillows. It custom molds around the neck contours better and stays in position better than feather and contour pillows. It is not as heavy as water pillows or memory foam. The longevity of the compression factor is better than the average of any other type of fill (but doesn't "fluff" up as easily or completely as feather and falls into the use worn hollows more readily with time passage).

It seems slightly shorter than a standard pillow (took up less space in my pillow case in length).

It has a light lanolin scent (natural to wool) that could be masked with an essential oil drops if lanolin is not your thing but the scent does abate with time passage.

I haven't tried sun/air cleaning the wool on the line yet so an observation and opinion on that aspect of care is yet to be discovered. But I like the idea it is at least possible where many pillows stuffing this is not or it forever reduces the comfort, support and shape of the pillow.

I purchased the side sleeper size and use it for back sleeping as well with no problem, whereas I know (retired from physiotherapy) the back sleeper size would not have equally worked for side sleeping if you have any shoulder, ribcage or mid back complaints, especially if you have a firm mattress.

Best pillow ever!

I have bought so many pillows over the years trying to find a perfect fit and finally I have found it with your wool filled pillow. It was very comfortable right away!
It’s great that you can adjust the wool to the right thickness if you have to.
